Bravissimo 2010 is delighted to announce that the Symphony of the Americas orchestra will perform ACT I at this year’s gala event on Saturday, March 27, 2010. The program includes familiar and popular symphony pieces. ACT II will be POP music and Broadway favorites by the Voices of Bravissimo.
The SOA orchestra is Broward’s own and was founded in 1987. International Maestro James Brooks-Bruzzese has conducted the orchestra for twenty-one years. He has received praise and honors at the Kennedy Center in Washington, the Villa Lobos Festival in Brazil and for performances in the former Soviet Union, Budapest, Amsterdam and Buenos Aires as well as many major cities in the USA.
Bravissimo 2010 is a gala fundraising event to benefit our Sunshine Community Foundation. The Foundation owns our campus and is charged with making major capital improvements and ensuring the long-term financial strength of our campus and Cathedral. The Foundation needs our support to help take care of our future needs.
We are very fortunate that the leadership of the Symphony of the Americas is committed to support our good work and volunteered to lend its Maestro and musicians to help raise money for our Foundation. To join the evening’s celebration and help support the work of our Foundation, please contact: jeff@sunfound.net or call 954-462-2730.
