..because of its intimate nature, chamber music has been described as “the music of friends ”.  The performing art stage of the Sunshine Cathedral is perfect for presenting a string quartet, one of the purest forms of chamber music.  You will enjoy being caught up in the magic of string quartet music: composers throughout the ages have chosen strings quartets to share their deepest emotions without the use of words. Goethe once  described this kind of music making as “ four rational people conversing ”.

The quartet members are graduates of the prestigious Franz Liszt Academy, Italy's Giuseppe Verdi Music Academy, Manhattan School of Music and the Eastman School of Music. They have performed  at the world's top musical centers in Milan, Tokyo, Buenos Aires, Shanghai, and Washington DC's Kennedy Center.  It is a joy and pleasure to welcome the Lauderdale String Quartet to the Sunshine Cathedral Performing Arts Series.

The String Quartet will be performing on Wednesday, March 2nd, Wednesday, May 11th, and Wednesday, October 5th, three times during the season, doing a different show each time!
