NEW RIVER ORCHESTRA: SUMMER SERENADE 2011
Sunday, August 7th at 4:00 p.m.
Sunshine Cathedral
Have the “summer doldrums” got you down??? Well, some of you are probably wondering what in the world the term “summer doldrums” is all about. Having family and friends away for much of the summer leaves a piece of emptiness and melancholy in many of our lives during these long summer months. We look, then, for leisure time pursuits that can fill this void and open our lives up to new experience, thus providing another avenue to achieving a more rich and happy addition to our lives. As Aldous Huxley once said, “After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music”.
Now, with great delight and pleasure, we can eliminate some of these “summer doldrums” through a summer concert FUND RAISING EVENT provided by the New River Orchestra: Summer Serenade 2011! This concert will be held on August 7th at the Sunshine Cathedral.
Ticket Information:
$20.00 - General Admission.
$15.00 - For students and seniors (over 55) with I.D.

About The New River Orchestra
The New River Orchestra, Inc., begun by Frank Molano and Beverly Daw and now celebrating its 6th year, is a collaboration of a group of musicians for the continued study and performance of classical music. As Ludwig Van Beethoven said, “Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy”.
To this end, The New River Orchestra, Inc. (New River Orchestra Summer Serenade 2011) began with the collaboration of a group of musicians, committed to being a source of pride and joy for its audience. The orchestra’s vision is to be a successful elite local orchestra, governed by its musician members. Of primary importance to its members, is to provide quality live orchestral performances by local musicians, both advanced amateurs and professionals, and, to enhance the audience’s appreciation of music by expanding the variety of the classical concert experience. The New River Orchestra- Summer Serenade formed a non-profit corporation, 501(c) (3), as a charitable organization. Because of this, all donations are tax deductible. Proceeds from this concert will be shared with the Sunshine Cathedral. The musicians donate their time and effort so that a generous portion of the proceeds goes to the Sunshine Cathedral.
